Dr. Ahmad R. Sedaghat, MD, PhD, FACS is the Director of the Division of Rhinology, Allergy and Anterior Skull Base Surgery and Professor of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Cincinnati and UC Health.  Dr. Sedaghat is an internationally recognized expert on chronic rhinosinusitis, nasal polyps, allergies as well as endoscopic sinus surgery and anterior skull base surgery.  In the clinic and through Telehealth, he has successfully treated thousands of patients from all over the United States with conditions of the nose and sinuses such as chronic rhinosinusitis, nasal polyps and allergies.  Dr. Sedaghat has also been a featured expert in reports on national and international news and media outlets such as CNBC, Reuters News, U.S. News and World Report, USA Today, Yahoo News, Fox News, Men's Health, Runner's World, Forbes, and The Atlantic


Dr. Sedaghat grew up near Dayton, OH.  He subsequently received a bachelor of science in biomedical engineering, graduating as the valedictorian of his class, at Columbia University.  He received his medical degree (M.D.) and graduate degree (Ph.D.) from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.  He subsequently completed residency in otolaryngology and a fellowship in rhinology and anterior skull base surgery at Harvard Medical School.  After completing his training, Dr. Sedaghat joined the faculty of Harvard Medical School as a rhinologist and anterior skull base surgeon and then moved to the University of Cincinnati in 2019.


Dr. Sedaghat is committed to bringing the highest level of sinus and allergy care to patients, drawing on his training and prior work at institutions such as Johns Hopkins and Harvard Medical School.  Over the span of his career, Dr. Sedaghat has provided the most up to date, evidence-based treatments to thousands of patients to provide relief from disorders of the nose and sinuses.  As the Director of the Division of Rhinology, Allergy and Anterior Skull Base Surgery at the University of Cincinnati, Dr. Sedaghat routinely sees patients from the Cincinnati area, north to Dayton, Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio; south to Lexington, Kentucky; west to Indianapolis, and east to Ashland, Kentucky and Huntington, West Virginia.  Dr. Sedaghat also offers telehealth visits for patients located all around the United States.


Dr. Sedaghat is and continues to be a leader in the field of sinus disease and allergies.  He has published over 180 peer reviewed studies that have advanced the field and he has given invited presentations on chronic rhinosinusitis, endoscopic sinus surgery, allergy and anterior skull base surgery all over the United States and internationally, including meetings of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, American Rhinologic Society, European Rhinologic Society, European Confederation of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, German Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Austrian Society of Otorhinolaryngology.  Dr. Sedaghat is also Associate Editor of the peer-reviewed journals Rhinology, International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology, and Laryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology, and he has served on the editorial board of peer-reviewed journals Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, Clinical Otolaryngology, and European Archives of Otorhinolaryngology.
